A. Player quality estimation
Players are the atomic unit. Most public team-strength models still use team-level form as the primary input; lineup-level signal is under-modelled in published work. If we can convert lineup changes (injuries, rotations, transfers) into a quantified strength delta faster and more accurately than team-form baselines, that's where the new model contributes information beyond what published baselines already capture.
