Terms of use
Last updated: 28 May 2026 · By using this site or purchasing a WC2026 Pass, you agree to these terms.
In plain terms: OnThePitch publishes statistical model outputs. The models can be wrong. All predictions are best-effort estimates. The WC2026 Pass sells access to research content — it does not sell correct predictions. If the model is wrong about an outcome, that is not a basis for a refund or payment dispute.
1. What this site is
OnThePitch is operated by Pelagia Private Limited. It is a sports analytics and statistical research site. It publishes probability estimates and editorial commentary about football derived from public data, framed as research and analysis. It is not a sportsbook or prediction-market operator. It does not accept, place, route, or settle bets, and it does not operate as a betting affiliate.
Model outputs on the site are published as probabilities, percentages, ratings, expected values of statistical quantities, and similar research-style metrics. They are not betting recommendations.
2. The WC2026 Pass — what you receive
The WC2026 Pass is a one-time purchase that grants access to paid research content for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Two tiers are offered:
- Standard Pass. Full research-note bodies (the free topline stays open to all), per-fixture probabilities and scoreline distributions for all 104 matches, the four-model side-by-side comparison, and per-fixture tactical analysis.
- Pro Pass. Everything in the Standard Pass plus programmatic JSON/CSV API endpoints, bulk dataset downloads, historical datasets, and reproducible model notebooks.
Access is valid through 31 December 2026 regardless of purchase date. We may add, modify, or remove specific deliverables over time provided the overall character of the offering is maintained.
You are paying for access to research content, not for outcomes. Holding a Pass does not entitle you to a refund or other remedy on the basis that the model was wrong or that an outcome you expected did not occur.
3. Pricing and billing
- Prices are listed in United States dollars (USD).
- One-time payment. No auto-renewal. No recurring charges. Your card is charged once at checkout.
- Foreign-currency conversion is handled by your payment provider at the rate in effect at the time of the transaction.
- Any applicable tax is collected by the payment provider in accordance with their published policy.
4. Refund policy
You may request a full self-service refund within 24 hours of purchase for any reason. Visit your account page within that window to issue the refund yourself. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method; PayPal-balance refunds usually appear immediately and card-funded refunds may take 3–5 business days. Access is revoked immediately at the time of the refund.
Upgrade refunds. If you upgraded from the Standard Pass to the Pro Pass, refunding the upgrade refunds both your original Standard Pass purchase ($15) and the upgrade ($20) — a total of $35 — and ends access entirely. The 24-hour window for an upgrade is measured from your original Standard Pass purchase, not from the upgrade time, so upgrading does not extend the refund window.
One self-service refund per buyer. Once you have used the self-service refund flow, any subsequent purchase is sale-final via the account page. Discretionary refunds are still available — see the email channel below.
Outside the 24-hour window, no refund will be issued in respect of:
- Disagreement with, or inaccuracy of, model outputs, forecasts, probabilities, ratings, or any other research content
- Outcomes that differ from the model’s expectation
- Editorial choices about which content is published
- Changes in availability of underlying data sources
- Subjective dissatisfaction with the content’s quality
Refunds may be issued, at our discretion, for:
- Demonstrable technical failure preventing access for a material portion of the Pass period, in which case we may extend access instead of refunding
- Mistaken or duplicate charges
- Requests outside the 24-hour window or after the self-service refund has been used, where the circumstances warrant it
- Cases where we determine, in our sole judgement, that a refund is appropriate
How to request a discretionary refund. Email admin@onthepitch.now with your transaction reference and a brief description of why a refund is appropriate. We review each request individually against the criteria above; outcome is at our discretion.
5. Disputes and chargebacks
By purchasing a Pass, you acknowledge that:
- The content is research output and is provided without warranty of accuracy or outcome (see Sections 6 and 7).
- You will not initiate a chargeback or payment dispute against us on the basis that the model was wrong, that an outcome did not match the forecast, or that you disagree with the editorial or methodological choices reflected in the content.
- If you believe you are entitled to a refund, you will first contact us via the refund process in Section 4 before initiating any chargeback.
- Chargebacks initiated in breach of this clause may result in immediate termination of access and recovery of fees, chargeback costs, and reasonable administrative expenses.
6. EU consumers — 14-day withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days of the date of purchase without giving any reason, except that this right is waived as soon as we begin delivering Pass content to you, provided you have expressly consented to immediate access at checkout. The Pass grants immediate access; by completing checkout you confirm that you wish to receive content immediately and acknowledge that this waives your right of withdrawal under EU consumer protection law.
Notwithstanding the above, the 24-hour goodwill refund in Section 4 remains available to EU consumers within its applicable window.
7. No legal or financial advice
Content on this site is for research and informational purposes only. It is not legal, financial, tax, or wagering advice. Past performance of any model or analytical output does not predict future results. You alone are responsible for compliance with the laws of your jurisdiction.
8. No warranty
The site is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. Model outputs reflect a statistical estimate based on the data and assumptions in use at the time of publication; they may be wrong and should not be the sole basis of any decision.
9. Intellectual property and reuse
Model outputs and editorial content may be cited with attribution to the project and a link back to the source page. Pass content (including API data exports) is for personal or journalistic use; redistribution as a substitute product is not permitted.
10. Acceptance
By clicking the purchase button at checkout, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Use.
